ARRL (American Radio Relay League)

The American Radio Relay League is the national association for Amateur Radio in the United States and has represented the interests of licensed amateurs since its founding in 1914. ARRL plays a vital role in advancing the art, science, and enjoyment of Amateur Radio through advocacy, education, technical resources, and public service support.

ARRL works on behalf of radio amateurs before the Federal Communications Commission and other regulatory bodies to protect spectrum access and promote reasonable operating privileges. The League also provides a wealth of educational materials, licensing resources, operating guides, and technical publications that benefit both new and experienced operators. Through programs such as emergency communications training, contesting, awards, and on-the-air events, ARRL helps strengthen operating skills and foster fellowship throughout the Amateur Radio community.

As an ARRL-affiliated club, our organization supports the League’s mission to promote Amateur Radio as a valuable public service, technical hobby, and emergency communications resource. We encourage our members to take advantage of ARRL programs, publications, and training opportunities, and to participate in activities that further the growth, preparedness, and positive image of Amateur Radio at the local, state, and national levels.

For all those interested in joining or renewing your ARRL membership, please see Dave Roy, W4DNA.  For anyone joining, the WCARA get $20.00, and for those renewing their membership, the club gets $5.00.  You can see Dave at the WCARA club meeting every third Thursday of the month or contact him at here .
